Un poco más de alternativas educativas...

Soy maestro de inglés y no deseo la inexistencia de escuelas públicas como espacios donde se imparta la Educación. Sin embargo, considero que otras posibilidades pueden coexistir sin ningún problema. Una de éstas es el "homeschooling" (haciendo click aquí o aquí podremos acceder a dos webs relacionadas con este tema), la Educación en casa. Al igual que debemos poder escoger la confesión que queramos (o la "aconfesión", como es mi caso), debemos poder escoger, en parte, el tipo de Educación que más deseemos.

Dentro de la Educación alternativa, también encontramos ejemplos de Escuela libre, como "Paideia" (en Mérida), "La Escuelita", en Valladolid, "Alavida", en Madrid o "Summerhill" (modelo procedente de Inglaterra), donde se prioriza la enseñanza desde el punto de vista de la propia persona, desarrollando "adaptaciones curriculares" de verdad.

También encontramos ejemplos de Educación alternativa para adultos, como "La Prospe" o "Xarxa d'Universitats Lliures".

Todos estos proyectos se apoyan en las teorías y experiencias de numerosos autores como Alexander Sutherland Neill, Paulo Freire, Iván Illich, Rudolf Steiner, Montesori, Arno Stern, los Wild... así como en el conocimiento de experiencias anteriores como las escuelas racionalistas o los ateneos libertarios de principios del siglo pasado, así como la Institución Libre de Enseñanza.

Web educativa imprescindible!

Durante una de mis últimas incursiones a la tele, he visto un reportaje sobre la web "GNOOS", una comunidad de apreendizaje a través de la que podemos crear nuestra propia red social, presentar proyectos de aprendizaje, compartir experiencias y conocimientos, etc. Es decir, una importante página que nos permite recordar la utilidad de Internet en este siglo XXI y para con las nuevas generaciones.

Peliculas sobre Educación!

En esta página se nos ofrece un listado de 100 películas relacionadas con Educación, pedagogías diferentes. Más de un€ pensará "claro, son películas, guiones preestablecidos. Esto nunca se podría aplicar en la realidad". Pues sabed que sí se puede, que las utopías también pueden hacerse realidad. Eso sí, ellas solas no pueden llegar a ser, necesitan un empujón por nuestra parte...

Chapeau a esta maestra

El otro dia viendo la tele (algunos la llaman "caja boba" pero eso depende del uso que le demos, como todo) ví en las noticas un reportaje acerca de una profesora de Curtis, cuyas prácticas pedagógicas innovadoras le han permitido ganar un premio del Ministerio de Educación.
Para ir abriendo boca, decir que no utiliza los libros de texto. En su lugar, opta por tomar un tema principal, a partir del cual se desarrollan sus clases, permitiendo la participación total de l@s alumn@s, lo que favorece el desarrollo de unos valores muy positivos.

Alumnas y alumnos del IES de Verín en la plaza

Las alumnas y alumnos de 1º ESO del Instituto de Educación Secundaria de Verín visitan la ciudad de Vigo, y en ruta, acuden al Museo de Arte Contemporáneo y a la Plaza de Ribadavia, donde se reúnen con los participantes del movimiento social 15-M.
Con ellos, allí en la plaza, organizan varias actividades, como una pequeña asamblea y un bonito mural.

La noche del martes 5 de Julio de 2011, las personas que paseaban por el centro de Vigo se encontraron con la música en la calle, protagonizada por el coro "Miñoca ma non toppo" del Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo.

poesía en la plaza






En la plaza empezó todo y en la plaza también recitamos poesía entre el ruido del tráfico y la gente que pasaba pero las voces de los poetas conmovieron al viento y silenciaron por unos momentos ese ruido sordo que nos abruma .

Manifiesto Comisión Educación y Cultura 15M-Vigo (manifestación 19J)

“El espacio público tiene de techo el cielo. Se dice que pertenece a todos pues no es de nadie, entonces nadie se para en él, así que se nos están muriendo nuestros espacios públicos. Ya no vivimos por la calle. Ya no charlamos uno con otro.

Antaño, la gente estaba mucho más en los espacios públicos, se juntaban en las plazas, en el mercado o alrededor de la fuente. Venían, paraban, pasaban un rato, hablaban entre sí y se enteraban de lo que estaba ocurriendo en el mundo, en su ciudad, en su pueblo. Hoy ya no es así, ya no nos enteramos de nada.

Somos el público. Únicamente miramos. Cuando andamos miramos hacia abajo. Nunca solemos mirar hacia arriba. Se vive con la cabeza indignada en nuestros espacios públicos. Andamos desconfiados y permanentemente preocupados. En cualquier momento puede venir un coche y matarte. En la calle, entre nosotros, está prohibido mirarse a los ojos. Esa ley no está escrita en ninguna parte, pero todo el mundo la respeta. Somos el público que no ve. Estamos cómodamente asentados en la oscuridad y la película que nos ponen en la pantalla, nos la montamos nosotros mismos.

Decidimos recuperar el espacio público para el público. Para mí, para ti, para ella y para él. Para nosotros, vosotros, ellos y ellas, hasta para todas las que no están aquí, hasta para los del Depor. Queremos poder volver a sentarnos con los demás alrededor de la fuente. Para pasar un rato, para escuchar, para no sentirse aislados, discapacitados y solos. Para descubrir que se puede vivir de otra manera. En común. Compartiendo. Aprendiendo a ver el mundo más feliz. Creando la vida que  nos gustaría. Nosotros somos el público, somos la calle, somos los de la plaza y somos los del campo y ya no estamos indignados, estamos liberados!”
